• Shannon Stirnweis:
After producing the cover artwork for the two Golden Griffon paperback editions in 1969, Shannon Stirnweis did not encounter
the Brains Benton series again until 2007, when Charles Morgan comissioned him to produce cover and internal illustrations for his two unofficial
novels, The Case of the Carrier Pigeon and The Case of the Lost Loot. Stirnweis also provided a drawing of Brains and Jimmy that
Charles used in his short story Christmas Eve in Crestwood.
